- Write a Good Headline
Use something that will get people's attention. Point
out the benefit of your item or what it will do for
someone who buys it. Effective ads often start with a
question to draw the reader into the ad.
Keep it Short and Simple
Most people will read a nice, short ad in its entirety.
Some people will just skip over an ad if it looks too
long. Good classifieds also speak in short, benefit-filled
lines so three to four word sentences work well.
Include a Picture
Ads with pictures get more views. This way, people can see
what they are buying.
IMPORTANT - When
adding your home to astromagicraven.com be sure to take
the best pictures possible of your home. Take outside
pictures on a bright day, use different angles to your
advantage. The pictures will often "make or break" online
home listings.
- The Ads with photos
sell faster.
A photo with your AD says a lot more than just words...
Scan your photo and upload it with your AD. Can't do it
now? Do it later, right from the "Utilities" (my
classified) page!
- Pictures are important
for your classified ad.
If you don't have a scanner but wish to put a photo with
your ad, no problem, we can scan your pictures for you.

- You may upload an GIF
or JPG Photoimage to your AD if you wish.
The following maximum image size limitations
apply: Less than 25k in size, height=400 pixels,
width=400 pixels.
Give a Price
Ads get better responses when you post a price. If you are
not sure about a price, post it just a little higher than
you what you really want for it and put NEGOTIABLE on the
item. See what happens.
- Do not type your AD in
ALL CAPS. This is considered rude. It is hard on the
eyes.
Use upper and lower case when filling in your
information.
- NO html tags! They are
stripped from all ADs.
- Make sure you check
your e-mail address, enter year and model, location,
price and as much information as you can.
Check your spelling before submitting your AD.
- Do not press the enter
key until you have finished your Ad.
Do not place your Ad in the wrong category.
Good Luck
